In reply to <a href="https://t5t.com/the-five-tibetans-rite-no-1-which-direction-should-i-spin#comments/1000089">Barb</a>.

Hi Barb. The Five Tibetan Rites are a spiritual practice developed centuries ago. The intention is to raise life energy or Qi through the spinning of the chakras for the purpose of anti-aging. Without fine-measuring tools to quantify these effects, I and everyone else who practices the Rites currently only have the monks' explanation for this. I can imagine, as a dancer, you feel the absence of a balancing turn as your body is so finely tuned to expect one. In this instance, only you can decide what you want to achieve out of practicing the Rites and what your body responds best to. To complicate matters, there is the ''energy" of dance and the "energy" that the monks are referring to for you to discern between - however, an interesting exercise in mindfulness and beingness - which brings us back to the spiritual!

I am a dancers . All dance exercises are practiced equally on both sides . Why not the spins ? I can feel my right leg asking why ? I was doing 10 each side . Maybe I should do 21 each side . When I was dancing the 5 rites helped me be a better turner on both sides . Your thoughts. ? Thanks
