Course Structure

MODULE 1 - INTRODUCTION & GETTING STARTED

This section is important as it teaches you the right way to complete your course. Because the course is progressive, you must follow the steps recommended to avoid skipping essential sections, particularly those on Core Stability, Energy Breathing, Warm Ups, and how to fine-tune your movements. In this module, you will also find the direct links to download the Workbook, Posters, eBook, and Meditations.

MODULE 2 - LEARNING THE FIVE RITES

In this module, you learn how to do each of the Five Rites and practice them for Week One of your practice, when you will be doing 3 repetitions of each Rite. After your first week, you will increase repetitions by two (2) more every week until you are doing 21 repetitions in ten weeks' time. This is the build-up method the monks recommended to allow energy shifts in the body to take place and become balanced. It also allows for progressive strength and flexibility development without overstraining your body. In Week Two, you will progress to 5 repetitions of each movement, in Week Three, you will be doing 7 repetitions, and so on.

MODULE 3 - FOLLOW ALONG - WEEK 1 OF YOUR PRACTICE

Now that you have learned how to carry out each of the Five Rites and to incorporate the Warm Ups, Energy Breathing, and Core Stability sections into your practice, follow along with Richard as he takes you through the whole sequence from start to finish. Do this every day of your first week of practice, when you will be doing 3 repetitions of each Rite.

MODULE 5 - WEEKS 2 - 10 (5 - 21 REPETITIONS)

From now on, every week, increase your repetitions by 2 more. It will take you ten weeks to reach 21 repetitions (as recommended by the monks). At the beginning of every new week, turn to the next video in this course to learn the changes to Rite 2, the Leg Raise. For example, Week Two (5 repetitions), Week Three (7 repetitions), and so on. The variations to the Leg Raise weekly provide an additional muscular challenge to the core muscles and ensure you develop strength from the inside out to protect your spine (lower back and neck).

MODULE 6 - 21 REPETITIONS FOLLOW ALONG.

Now that you have reached 21 repetitions, enjoy following along with the group doing 21 repetitions (accompanied by elevating music). From now on, as long as you practice the Rites, you will be doing this same sequence daily. Enjoy...
