My interest in T5T® has been fuelled by 8 years of yoga practice, all of which I enjoyed, but none of which gave me the energy boost I was after. I was introduced to T5T® by my sister and a Reiki practitioner visiting from India at a turning point in my life. I began practising the rites on a daily basis. As a result, my energy and zest for life began to increase and surpass where I was previously. I started to feel much stronger in body and mind, more centered and at peace. I decided to cross the Tasman and attend Carolinda's Instructor Training course and haven't looked back since.

I had the opportunity to do my T5T® Instructor's course with Carolinda Witt in Sydney who developed T5T , the modified version of original Rites. I must say it was an amazing experience I am excited to introduce other New Zealanders to these amazing 5 Postures.
I am a widow of 5 years with 3 beautiful children: My daughters Lijana and Vanja, my son James and gorgeous grand daughter Savanna. I have been an active person competing competitively in athletics (sprinting), played netball for many years and generally kept myself fit. Unfortunately around 11 years ago I developed bad pain and stiffness in both my neck and back, for which I was told there was nothing that could be done for it except cortisone injections which I was getting on a regular basis.
It is almost 10 years now since I discovered the 5 Rites by chance. While visiting a Wellness Centre for my recurring neck and back pain - an advert in a magazine for a book called "The Fountain of Youth" by Peter Kelder caught my eye. Naturally I sent away for it and what a life saver! I cannot begin to explain how wonderful it was to get back my full mobility in both my neck and back. Doing the 5 Rites has not only made me more supple than I was 10 years ago, I am pain free! (no more cortisone injections for me!) What amazed me was how quickly I began experiencing results.
I also believe doing the daily 5 Rites gave me internal strength to help deal with the painful loss of my beloved husband Jim with whom I'd been with since the age of 18.
Recently I introduced my sister Elaine to T5T® who has been suffering with painful hips, she too is marvelling at the results she is experiencing after only such a short time.

Being a full time dancer for the past 15 years, I have chosen to use a variety of yoga methods as well as Pilates & Feldenkrais method towards injury prevention & sustaining strength & flexibility throughout my career. I came across T5T® in 2004 via my chiropractor, Kathrine Harrison, who suggested I learn to teach it so I could then teach her patients that were in need of learning it. What a lovely surprise it has been to find that I can do this regularly on my own without my huge ongoing costs of yoga and Pilates classes or the disappointment experienced if my schedule didn’t fit in with class times! I still go to yoga and Pilate’s classes occasionally and I haven’t had any injuries since doing T5T®!
My entire career has been dance orientated. Whether re-training, choreographing, performing or teaching my love of movement. I had my ear drum damaged and felt realty dizzy when I had to spin during dancing. Around 4 years ago I learnt The Five Rites. Having done the Rites for a few weeks I went to a park with my kids who persuaded me to go on a swing. I started slowly and discovered that I could once again enjoy the swing and later on to even dance. I’ve been doing the Five Rites daily since then.
I started my spiritual development by learning Transcendental Meditation in 1987 after finishing my degree in Applied Electronics. I have done the Gita Yoga International Diploma of teaching Hatha Yoga, and a few self development courses with Michael Roland Domeyko and Ian Gawler. Having taught fitness for nearly 20 years, when I first saw T5T® I clearly recognised it as the next wave of exercise – with enormous potential for improved physical health and remedial core stability work. Prior to discovering T5T® I had suffered from long term back pain due to an injury. I stumbled upon The Five Tibetan Rites of Rejuvenation 5 years ago. Born and raised in the far north of New Zealand with the ocean, forests, farmlands and native bush on her doorstep Lea grew up to become an avid horse rider, hiker and ocean sports enthusiast. With a degree in Travel and Tourism and experience in Banking, Hotel & Catering and Travel Consultancy Lea left NZ on her great OE for a year or two back in 1989 . . . After a six month overland journey with Encounter her passion for travel in developing countries was awakened and she proceeded to lead treks and expeditions throughout Asia, Africa, Middle East and South America for the next 6 ½ years.
In 1998 Lea and her partner took a break from the road and submerged themselves in the Lower Zambezi Valley, Zambia where they spent 3 years managing luxury safari lodges prior to entering the wide world of Conservation. With funding through the Danish Embassy Lea with her partner developed and expanded Conservation Lower Zambezi, an NGO that assisted Govt with wildlife and habitat protection through anti-poaching and Environmental Education. This led to their next posting with African Parks Network managing Omo National Park, 4100 sq kms of wilderness in Southern Ethiopia.
Having stepped out of Africa 18 months ago Lea now walks the world both as a freelance guide and working as a Holistic Life Consultant teaching; yoga, T5T, conscious living and practising shamanism.
My own T5T® and yoga practice supported me through one of the toughest journeys of my life and the time has come for me to start sharing these powerful tools with others. At the moment my work is taking me between the northern and southern hemispheres with the changes of the seasons. Several years ago a close friend gave me a gift of the T5T® book by Carolinda Witt. Having practiced Yoga, Body Balance and being an ardent walker for most of my adult life, I did question if T5T® would benefit me any more than my already passionate practices. However, I did occasionally struggle with lower back and neck issues, so I decided to try it, and was amazed at the results. Some days I teach 4 classes a day and find it hard to fit in a personal practice. That is how I found T5T® . It gives me the energy I need to teach. Since I have been practicing T5T® I have noticed that I get more things done. I don't procrastinate and I feel a greater sense of well-being.
My aim is to teach people skills to help them achieve health and a positive sense of self worth and T5T® is a tool and a practice that I am honoured to be able to teach others.
Five years ago I returned from a 4 year stint overseas. I had been suffering from anxiety quite badly and was lucky enough to attend a seminar that Deepak Chopra was running in Switzerland. He was a major advocate for yoga so I decided that when I returned home to Australia I would live beside the sea and begin to practice yoga. I began practicing and gained profound benefits which included an improvement in self esteem, giving up my addictions and a dramatic reduction in anxiety. The benefits were so significant that I decided to move to Byron Bay and study to become a Solomon Yogalates teacher. Again I observed people gaining great benefits.

Fitness and well-being have always been important to me. I had been going to the gym and swimming pool for a number of years and, as much as I enjoyed that, I started to feel restricted and stressed by a schedule influenced by avoidance of crowd and traffic. Since then, my lower back has greatly improved, my bowel movement is more regular, my bladder is better controlled. I somewhat get the feeling that my spine is defying gravity.
About twenty years ago my life path significantly changed when I had a car accident.
