According to the Tibetan lamas, the only difference between youth and old age is the spin rate of the chakras (the body's seven major energy centres).
"The body has seven centres, which, in English, could be called Vortexes. These are kind of magnetic centres. They revolve at great speed in the healthy body, but when slowed down - well that is just another name for old age, ill-health, and senility. The quickest way to regain youth, health, and vitality is to start these energy centres spinning normally again. There are five simple exercises that will accomplish this. Any one of them alone is helpful, but all five are required to get the best results. These five exercises are not really exercises at all. The Lamas call them rites, and so that is how I shall refer to them, too." Colonel Bradford - The Eye of Revelation
- Vortex “A” is located deep within the forehead
- Vortex “B” is in the posterior part of the brain
- Vortex “C” located in throat at the base of the neck
- Vortex “D” located in the right side of the body (waist line)
- Vortex “E” is in the reproductive anatomy or organs
- Vortexes “F” and “G” located one in either knee.
"All these wheels are perpetually rotating, and into the hub or open mouth of each a force from the higher world is always flowing- a manifestation of the primary force. Without this inrush of energy the physical body could not exist. Therefore the centres are in operation in every one, although in the undeveloped person they are usually in comparatively sluggish motion, just forming the necessary vortex for the force, and no more. In a more evolved man they may be glowing and pulsating with living light, so that an enormously greater amount of energy passes through them, with the result that there are additional faculties and possibilities open to the man."
